You can play without an account
The daily puzzles are playable with no account, no install and no sign-in. If you never make an account, we never hold your name, your email address or any other personal detail.
Guest play is stored against a random identifier we generate in your browser. It is not derived from your device, your network or anything about you — it is a random value, and it exists so your time and streak survive until you decide to keep them.
What we store when you solve
Your completion time, which puzzle it was, and the day it was for.
A log of the moves you made while solving. This is what makes a solve replayable, and it is what lets us tell an impossible time from a fast one. It contains puzzle moves and their timing, and nothing about you.
If you create an account, the address you signed in with and the handle you chose.
What we do not do
We do not sell or rent your data.
We do not run third-party advertising, and we do not embed advertising trackers.
We do not fingerprint your device or browser.
Deleting your account
You can request deletion at any time. There is a short grace period during which the request can be undone, after which the account and the solve records attached to it are removed.
Children
The Daily Griddle is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
